Let's define your Heating Issue.

Reset breaker or Check to see if service switch is on

Put thermostat to “fan on” and see if fan runs

Reset furnace by turning thermostat from “heat” to “off”. Wait 5 mins and put back to “heat” Check vents outside for snow or blockage

Odd noise/Loud Noise

Check filter/try to isolate noise. Ductwork or furnace?

Smell/Burning smell

Turn power off. Call for Service

Thermostat not responding

Reset furnace by turning thermostat from “heat” to “off”. Wait 5 mins and put back to “heat”. Check batteries in Thermostat. Check filters. Check vents outside for snow or buildup

Running longer than normal

Check filter.
