Chatham-Kent or Leamington Permits

Wheatley straddles the old Kent and Essex county line. Part of town is in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent and part is in the Municipality of Leamington, and each has its own building department. If your renovation needs a permit, which one issues it depends on your address. We sort that out at the quote so you don’t have to.

Wheatley Bathroom Renovation FAQs

My home is on the Leamington side of Wheatley. Do you still work there?

Yes. We work on both sides of town. The only difference is which municipality issues the permit, and we handle that either way.

Can you update a bathroom in a converted cottage?

Yes. Cottage bathrooms often have undersized drains or water lines that were fine for summer use. We check and upgrade those as part of the renovation.

Can I keep using another bathroom during the work?

If you have a second bathroom, yes. If not, tell us at the quote and we’ll plan the job to keep your downtime short.
