Why Postma Introduced the Pink Van: Supporting Cancer Awareness for a Lifetime
At Postma, we’ve always believed that being part of a community means more than just providing exceptional HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services. It means standing by our neighbours during the tough times and doing our part to make a lasting difference. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our new pink van, a symbol of our commitment to supporting cancer awareness—not just for one month or one cause, but for life.
We wanted to begin our commitment to supporting cancer at an important time, the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness month, which has had an impact on so many of us in the community – whether it’s your grandmother, your mother, a sister, an aunt, a cousin or a friend. We have all been impacted in some way.
Driving Change with Every Call
You’ll soon see our bright pink van rolling through the streets of Chatham-Kent, Windsor, Sarnia, and St. Thomas, spreading awareness with every service call. It’s more than just a van; it’s a moving reminder of the ongoing fight against cancer, a disease that affects far too many lives.
We wanted to do something tangible to help not only raise awareness but also raise money that will go into the community to fund cancer research and go towards organizations that help those who have successfully beat cancer but are working to get back to their normal lives. We are looking for the community to help us achieve this goal of raising money for this great cause so every time you see our pink van driving through your neighbourhood – snap a picture! We will be donating $10 every time we are tagged in a photo on social media and are hoping to achieve our target of $10,000 donated!
Kicking Off with a $1,000 Donation
To show our commitment to this cause, we’re starting this campaign off by donating $1,000 to support cancer research and local organizations. This is only the beginning, and with your help, we can contribute much more. So pull out those phones, take a photo, and share it on your social media and tag us. Together we are stronger and with your help we can raise awareness and provide support for those impacted by cancer.

Over 40% of men and women will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives – increased awareness and funding allows us to catch it earlier and have a better chance of fighting, and beating, this disease.
